Hello and welcome to my page! I currently reside in Burlington, North Carolina, with my wife and our beloved pets. As a data scientist and mathematician, I am actively contributing to the data science team at Lincoln Financial Group. My academic journey includes the attainment of a Master of Arts in Mathematics, with a focus on data science, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. With over four years of hands-on experience in data collection, cleaning, and interpretation, I have honed my skills.
In addition to my proficiency in data science, I possess a versatile skill set encompassing various machine learning libraries and statistical methodologies. My career journey began in a different realm as a machinist specializing in CNC programming, particularly with live tooling multi-spindle machines. I spent a significant portion of my career crafting components for the aircraft and medical industries, finding genuine fulfillment in this profession.
In 2015, I reached a pivotal point where I recognized that furthering my career required a return to academia. Originally pursuing mechanical engineering, I swiftly succumbed to the allure of mathematics. Late-night study sessions, the immersion in textbooks and journals, the crafting of intricate proofs all these facets of mathematics captivated me. During my undergraduate studies, I delved into undergraduate research opportunities and even had the privilege of studying abroad while participating in research at Nanjing University of Science and Technology in Nanjing, China.
Following the successful completion of my undergraduate degree, I embarked on my graduate studies in mathematics with a specialization in my chosen field. As a graduate teaching assistant, I took on the role of instructing several courses in algebra and provided invaluable guidance to students through office hours.Interests
